01Guarding & Patrol

K9 patrol for properties where presence needs to carry further

A handler-and-canine team can provide a visible deterrent and extend the practical reach of a patrol across large or difficult ground.

K9 Patrol Units · Available throughout California · 24-hour operations

01Overview

K9 patrol is particularly suited to large, open or poorly lit environments where an officer cannot physically cover everything at once. Armani K9 partners work alongside our security officers and patrol resources and can add a strong visible deterrent where K9 deployment is appropriate.

Typical applications include construction sites, industrial property, equipment yards, large commercial locations and selected events. A K9 unit is not automatically an upgrade for every property — public exposure, site conditions, neighbouring occupancy and the actual risk should be considered first.

The handler works within the same operational structure as the rest of the security team: clear instructions, supervision, communication and reporting. The handler serves as a properly registered security professional for the assignment, and the canine extends the team’s patrol and detection capability where trained and authorized for that purpose.

02Who this is for

Where this service earns its place.

  • Construction sites and equipment yards

Large, poorly lit, open perimeters where materials and plant are exposed overnight and a single officer cannot cover the ground.

  • Industrial and warehouse property

Extensive footprints with multiple access points and long sightlines where detection matters as much as presence.

  • Events and large gatherings

Perimeter and back-of-house coverage where visible deterrence needs to be established quickly across a wide area.

  • Properties with a recurring intrusion history

Sites where repeat trespass or theft has continued despite existing measures and the deterrent needs to change materially.

04Process

How a deployment runs.

  1. Suitability assessment

Not every site suits a canine team. We assess ground conditions, public exposure, neighbouring occupancy and the nature of the risk before recommending one.

  2. Coverage design

K9 patrol is planned around the hours and areas where it adds most — typically open ground, overnight, on sites where distance defeats a single officer.

  3. Integrated deployment

The team works alongside existing posts and vehicle patrol under one set of post orders and one dispatch channel, not as a separate service.

  4. Documented patrol record

Patrol logs, incident reports and — where deployed — Guard Scan verification record the coverage delivered.

07Questions

What clients ask first.

On large, open, poorly lit sites — construction, industrial yards, warehousing — where a single officer cannot physically cover the ground and where the deterrent needs to be unmistakable. On a small occupied office lobby it adds little.
