03Operations

The work does not stop when the officer arrives.

A strong security operation has a process behind it. Most failures are not dramatic — a post is worked differently by the relief officer, a patrol becomes predictable, an incident is never written up. The model below exists to make those failures visible before they matter.

  1. Assess

    Understand the risk

Understand the property, the people, the access points, the blind spots and the hours of greatest exposure before recommending any post, patrol or technology.

  2. Plan

    Write the post orders

Turn those observations into clear post orders, patrol instructions and escalation procedures so every officer assigned to the site works to the same standard.

  3. Deploy

    Place the right officers

Assign officers and resources that fit the actual assignment — armed or unarmed, foot post, vehicle patrol or K9 — rather than using the same formula everywhere.

  4. Monitor

    Hold the standard

Supervision and communication keep the operation connected after the first shift begins. Field supervisors and a centralized dispatcher maintain radio contact around the clock.

  5. Respond

    Act without delay

When an alarm, incident or emergency occurs, everyone should know who acts and who communicates. Round-the-clock armed response is coordinated with law enforcement where appropriate.

  6. Report

    Leave a record

A security incident should not disappear when the shift ends. Daily activity and incident reports create a written record that can be reviewed.
